good point I guess, but if you think about it people on the newcastle board with knowledge of spurs, and ex assistant from spurs? is that a good thing really, if ex manu or ex arsenal but anything ex spurs has to be a worry, you dont want to inherit anything from spurs looking at the last decade :)

Hello Neil, welcome to the board - I've a horrible feeling you might be right but time will tell. It's definitely important to have a strong coaching set up... Then again would the board not have had a say - there's a few football men on there with knowledge of Spurs etc..?

One thing is any hands will be useful to Keegan atm. He certainly cannot do it all on his own.

well i think its a huge mistake, I think Hughton was the bad apple at spurs, he was there a number of years and as each manager came and went Hughton remained and so did Spurs lack of success and perhaps Jol was the only decent manager in his time there that enabled some progress, it certainly wasnt down to Hughton, how could it have been he had been there years and not made much impact.

Now a manager has come in at Spurs and bought in his own assistant/coach Spurs shaping up, dont think Spurs will be complaining at Hughton's departure.

I think its a panic decision, time will tell I guess

Yeah they were my thoughts as well. He did need someone in and to help him due to the mess we are in at present though so any extra hands and a new face is better than none.

I agree, any defensive coach is better than none. Then again, Tottenham weren't known for having a rock-solid defense before Ramos came in were they? Still, we'll see...
