New Fixture List
New season fixture list is now out and what a start! We’ve got 2 away games in the first 3 games against Manure and Arsenal. All we can hope for is we catch these 2 teams when they aren’t on all cylindars… Our first game being against Man United and our first home game against Bolton having start off with them away last season.
Our first new boy team is Hull in our 2nd home game. Our first encouter with the mackems is once again away on the 25th of October. Nice so this season we start away from home and finish away from home… Whats the betting after the first 3 games the press are hoping for headlines of “Keegan under pressure…”
In contrast to last season I think this is one of our hardest starts to the season and the end aint greatly eye catching niether. One thing is for sure that the TV will destroy this fixture list so don’t go setting the dates in stone.

haha Nice start although in fairness it’s probably the best time to play them. After them and Arsenal though you would have to hope we’ve got a team together which can make a good run of winnable games after that. I certainly believe it looks possible. Will be interesting to see if Everton can carry last seasons form forward.

Well if we can get any sort of a result it will be a boost and the past few seasons Man U have started slow. Fingers crossed eh?

I agree that it could be a good time to play them - if there is such thing. It might also help if they’re trying to bed in a new winger at the time… Either way, people worry too much about the fixture list - as long as we play everyone twice and only twice is the league it’s all fair I guess!
Good to see we play the Mackems at theirs pretty early on too. If we can beat them there it should shut them up for a while… Although that is a big if, which will depend heavily on us making some decent signings and soon.

I would be so over the moon with a draw first game. I think it would have the lad’s tails up for the Bolton match. Just hope we create a shock.
