Shiver Down Our Spines
Well I have to say. I liked the idea of Keegan as our new manager but had my doubts as well.
Now that its actually happened I actually had goose pimples!! Shivers down my spine!! I am sure geordies all over the world are having the same feeling and its GREAT!
A friend has already hit the nail on the head! Its like Christmas all over again for geordies!
I simply cannot wait to get along to the Stoke game tonight and begin cheers of ‘Walking in a Keegan wonderland!”
Will this mean Alan Shearer coming in as a coach. It looks more than likely! I just hope that we can ride this positive whirlwind for as long as possible to keep the good time feeling going.

looks like we’re all experiencing the same sort of thing. i was against his returning but as soon as i heard the news i couldnt stop smiling (might have been because i got odds of 33-1 last week mind). the bloke is one of us and no matter what happens we know we will be proud of our team again. i know a lot of other fans are taking the piss out of us but its only cos they’re jealous. not of our imminent success but of the fact that win, lose or draw we belong to something special. bring it on.

Let the good times roll! Last night spoke volumes with or without KK’s influence everything about last night proved to Ashley he made the right choice both in dismissing Sham Allardyce and bringing in KK. The smiles on everyones faces. I mean it everyones face not just the ones in the ground. The whole region was swept up in a feel good factor and THATS what Newcastle United are about. It proves that Ashley and Mort have learned what this great club is about… Our great club! I have not felt like that at a football match for a long time. I have never seen a queue like that for the box office for a very long time… I have not see queues at the club shop like that for a very long time… The smiles on the faces coming out of the ground for a very long time… The feel good is back. Yes it may well be I got those odds of 33-1 as well mate
He has ignited our passion again including the players. Even if he doesnt win us a trophy - we are a long way from that… he will improve us. Its been a long time since we’ve seen improvement. If he stablises us and moves us up the table thats good enough in my book. He’ll get fans interested in us again not just geordies. We may become everyones 2nd favourite club again and for Ashley a masterstroke. It sells the tops, the tickets, the region. Its made Newcastle again what its all about. Passion, excitement and a can do attitude. Those players last night were different animals. They were twice the height of Stoke players… Twice the speed… Twice the quality… Maybe more? To win something you have to be lucky and tbh we may just have bought into some great luck! After all you create your own luck in this day and age. We look as though we can do that now! They played as a team and encouraged each other! No player was afraid and the more the game went on the more they showed new ideas. LOVE IT…. JUST LOVE IT!

Ya know I’ve listened to various radio shows, read forums, had texts and emails……
I’ve noticed fans from all over the country and all manner of teams say how pleased they are, not just for us, but for football in general, that Keegan is back. There is 1 exception though………….. I havent heard a single positive comment from any Man Utd fan?
Disappoints me tbh, dunno why but it does……..

I know what you mean, I was amazed and slightly worried by the appointment, but just couldn’t stop smiling! Went along to the Stoke game at the last minute, took the girlfriend along for her first ever game. Brilliant to see the team playing it along the ground, passing the ball to feet, playing little one-twos… We even got a round of cheers every time we passed the ball near the end, the team were making it look easy! So glad Sam’s gone… By the way, what was Emre sent off for? The tackle looked fine from where I was sat, no idea who we’ll be playing in midfield against Arsenal but never mind!

It was for a retaliation over the top of the ball tackle. TBH I can see why Emre was annoyed as the guys tackle on him went unpunished. Uriah Rubbish should have dealt with it sooner. Referees have to realise they have a big influence on the game from their poor decision making. That though was a completely different team last night. Great to see lots of young ones and ladies there last night. Lots of new faces rather than season ticket holders. It will have been a good night for young ones to get hooked on the game. They generated alot of noise including the toon ultras.
