Most clubs are signing their players up to new deals at the moment so there's no reason why we wouldn't do the same, it's not like Chris Mort is too busy on the training ground to deal with paperwork... Maybe it is just a tactic to make him work harder - we don't need our central defenders suddenly relaxing and taking it easy at this point of the season. Maybe Taylor's dad is actually a pain to deal with? I'm not sure but when all's said and done they won't let a good young, local defender leave the club - unless they have a very good reason to do so.
